If you wish to camp with your car, or bring your car to the festival, you’ll also need a Car Pass that matches your camping ticket. Car passes were only available in the initial onsale in General Camping and Premium camping bundles, alongside Deluxe Packages and Signature tents.
A small allocation of camping car passes will be available in a separate onsale later in the year, alongside Lux Car Passes, BTV Car Park Passes and RV/Trailer add ons. Please note that there is not the same number of car passes as there are camping tickets.
Stay tuned on our socials for the exact date of this onsale.

No Car Pass? No problem!
Catch a BTV Bus. Our partner bus company, Melbourne on the Move, runs buses from heaps of locations and times directly to the festival. It’s comfy, cost-effective, and you don’t have to worry about designated drivers, fuel, or dusty car parks. Just don’t leave it till the week before, bus seats sell out too, and we really don’t want you stressing.
Book your BTV Bus here.
Every year, hustling to secure a Car Pass is a bit of a BTV rite of passage. It can be stressful, slightly chaotic, and usually sells out in minutes. Why? Because we intentionally release fewer Car Passes than camping tickets.
This isn’t us being evil, promise. Not only is there physically not enough space for every single one of you and your cars, it is also to:
- Limit the number of cars impacting the roads surrounding our local community.
- Encourage more eco-friendly travel options like carpooling and BTV buses.
